Would take Walcott. We lack the pace and he can finish aswell.

12 mill extra really is not much at all in todays world. Revenue from tickets is way behind TV rights.

The stadium makes us about £12m extra per season

So basically Andy Carroll's wages and a bit of change...

Re: Theo Walcott
I said last season we should have gone all out for Walcott and Benteke... that should have been our next level up teh rung... instead all the Cesspit loving divs like D3 Gavvy and Co all believed Fat Tits Brady and her quote of... * clears throat * .... "Any player in the world you love to play at the Olympic Stadium because its BRILLIANT".. and thought that players like Walcott and Benteke were BELOW us and that we should have gone for Diego fuckin' maradona when he played for Argies in his prime... fucking divs

Re: Theo Walcott
Said we should have gone all out to get him last year... not sure he's a Moysleyely type of player but he's certainly someone I think could do a superb job for us...

The stadium makes us about £12m extra per season according to that goblin Sullivan.

He could well be lying of course, which makes their lack of spending even worse.

Accounts out soon aren't they?

I think Ayew, Antonio, Sakho and Hernández all currently have a case for starting at the moment, so I'd hardly call not signing Theo Walcott neglect.

Anyone is better than the squad we already have.

Re: Theo Walcott
two questions:

a) is he available on loan?
b) can he protect the back four?

Re: Theo Walcott
Exactly what we don't need. We want physical, fit, hard working, team players.

Re: Theo Walcott
"... thanks to our shiny new stadium that was going to make us MILLIONS and MILLIONS in extra revenue."

It does. And MERCHANDISE REVENUE has also increased massively. The WORLD FOOTBALL REVENUE TABLE also highlights this as we've jumped-up a few places to 15th or whatever.

It's just that our board doesn't want to spend that extra money. Although they clearly pay brain-dead lucrative wages to average wanker players. So that must waste a lot of dosh.

Re: Theo Walcott
oooo! A right wing striker and we only have two of those already....

A big burly defender that knows how to man mark would be my first choice...

The board reckon we have the best squad we've had for years. I wouldn't be too hopeful of many coming in.

Re: Theo Walcott
We need to strengthen pretty much every position, IMO. Yes there are other priorities, but that doesn't mean we need to neglect everywhere else.

Danbury Hammer 10:10 Tue Dec 5
Re: Theo Walcott
Can he play in defence?

The Ghost of Braderz 9:42 Tue Dec 5
Re: Theo Walcott
We don't need strengthening up front just yet. There are other priorities. A squad, is like an omelette, you need good eggs, and the right amount of milk, cheese, ham, and tomato. You can't just keep putting more and more cheese in it, just because it's good cheese. Nobody wants a cheesy omelette.

Re: Theo Walcott
dicksie - I think you'll find it was the daydreaming divs who claimed we should be looking much higher than the likes of Walcott thanks to our shiny new stadium that was going to make us MILLIONS and MILLIONS in extra revenue.

How did that work out for you all?

Rossal 9:36 Tue Dec 5
Re: Theo Walcott
No thanks

Not in form

Overated

Huge wages

Go and get a youngster or someone tearing up the championship like Antonio who will have something to prove

Vexed 9:36 Tue Dec 5

I'd rather we signed some cunt that can defend.
